Innolume gladly introduces an expansion of its O-band lineup with the release of the SOA1310025YY12DBXXXX, a new 1310 nm low-noise semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) optimized for wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) applications. The fiber-coupled amplifier delivers up to 150 mW optical output power, a saturation level exceeding 20 dBm, and a typical noise figure of 5.5 dB, providing high-fidelity amplification and superior signal quality across the full operating range.

A key highlight of the new device is its exceptional Bit Error Rate (BER) performance. In 4 × 100 Gb/s PAM4 PRBS31 transmission tests, the SOA achieved BER < 10⁻⁶ over an input power range spanning 10 dB, and extended beyond 17 dB for BER < 2.2 × 10⁻⁴. The SOA’s clean, linear amplification with minimal distortion makes it an ideal choice for high-speed Datacom and WDM applications where low noise and high signal integrity are essential.

Innolume expands O-Band portfolio with a new WDM SOA

With a proprietary anti-reflection coating and Innolume’s globally recognized GaAs quantum-dot technology, the SOA offers outstanding spectral stability and long-term reliability. Packaged in a 14-pin butterfly module, it is available with PM1310 or HI1060 fiber coupling, an optional 900 µm fiber furcation tube, and an integrated TEC with NTC thermistor for precise temperature control.

With the release of this new SOA, Innolume reinforces its commitment to delivering high-performance and reliable optical components for the datacom market.
