Innolume shortlisted for Innovation Award 2025 at Laser World of Photonics.

We are pleased to announce that Innolume has been shortlisted for the prestigious Innovation Award 2025, presented as part of the leading industry exhibition LASER World of PHOTONICS in Munich. This year, a total of 19 innovative products across seven categories have been selected for the shortlist.

Our submission for the award is a High-saturation-power Semiconductor Optical Amplifier for the O-band (O-Band Quantum Dot SOA). This amplifier, designed for uncooled operation, delivers EDFA-like performance within the O-band range, enabling the simultaneous amplification of multiple modulated laser lines (WDM) with minimal BER degradation and achieving very high output power.

This solution opens new possibilities for:

Telecommunication networks (especially in the O-band, 1260–1360 nm),
Quantum and AI communication,

The Innovation Award winners will be announced at the ceremony on June 24, 2025, at the Laser World of Photonics exhibition in Munich, taking place from June 24 to 27, 2025. With an output power of up to 150 mW, saturation level above 20 dBm, and a typical noise figure of 5.5 dB, this SOA ensures high-precision signal amplification for WDM systems and high-speed data communication.
