Visit of the Mayor of Dortmund to Innolume

On August 6, our company was visited by the Mayor of Dortmund, Mr. Thomas Westphal. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about Innolume as one of the high-tech companies in the region and to discuss the prospects for the development of photonics in Dortmund.

Steffen Turowski (Head of Engineering) gave a tour of Innolume’s production facility for wafer processing. During the visit, the key technological stages were demonstrated and the individual processes were explained.

We also discussed our future plans to expand production – five new pieces of equipment are scheduled to be installed by the end of the year. In this context, reconstruction of the cleanroom is currently underway.

Mr. Westphal was also introduced to our latest automation in production. He was impressed by how quickly a complete manufacturing process for one of our new products was established - in less than a month after implementation.

Innolume expands O-Band portfolio with a new WDM SOA

Innolume expands its O-band lineup by introducing the new semiconductor optical amplifier SOA1310025YY12DBXXXX with a wavelength of 1310 nm. With an output power of up to 150 mW, saturation level above 20 dBm, and a typical noise figure of 5.5 dB, this SOA ensures high-precision signal amplification for WDM systems and high-speed data communication.
