We are currently looking for a Technical Draftsperson (f/m/d) to join our team.

Responsibilities

Creation of photomasks for photolithography (semiconductor and microsystems technology)

Preparation and modification of technical drawings for internal production, product specifications, and material orders

Standardization of technical drawings, serial numbers, part numbers, and component designations

Preparation of drawings for laboratories/cleanrooms and calculation of floor areas for facility planning

requirements

Successfully completed vocational training as a Technical Draftsperson (f/m/d) or equivalent qualification

Experience in 2D/2D drawing design (new designs, modifications of individual parts, assemblies, and photomasks)

Confident use of CAD software, preferably SolidWorks

Experience with Layout Editor, CleWin, or KLayout is an advantage

Good command of standard Microsoft Office applications

Good written and spoken English skills

Responsibilities

Upgrade and automate existing measurement and test stations for high-volume manufacturing environments.

Design and implement automation solutions, including pick-and-place systems, precision alignment processes, and automated measurement sequences.

Develop and optimize machine control software, motion control systems, and equipment integration.

Design, build, and maintain robust architectures for automated data collection from production and test equipment.

Develop reliable bi-directional data workflows, including transferring machine configurations and test recipes to equipment and collecting measurement and test data for central databases and analytics platforms.

Analyze existing equipment and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for increased automation, improved reliability, and reduced cycle times.

Commission, validate, and support automated production and testing systems.

Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Quality, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration between manufacturing equipment and business systems.

Prepare technical documentation, system architectures, deployment guides, and engineering reports.

Train operators and support personnel on assigned systems and processes.

Support process stability, capability improvement, and production performance across multiple MBE systems.

Manage and analyze facility and process-related data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.

Develop new epitaxial growth processes and continuously improve existing manufacturing processes.

Plan and execute process development projects using Design of Experiments (DoE) methodologies.

Support equipment maintenance activities and coordinate with external service providers.

Assist Supply Chain Management in spare parts planning and qualification of new MBE precursor suppliers.

Perform chemical cleaning and maintenance activities on MBE wafer holders and related components.

Prepare engineering reports, process documentation, and production-related technical records.

Generate Engineering Change Requests, Issue Reports, and Permission for Deviation documentation.

Train and support production operators on assigned systems and processes.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, environmental regulations, health and safety requirements.

Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field.

Minimum of five years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, MBE or MOCVD growth, and equipment maintenance.

Extensive knowledge of epitaxial growth technologies, semiconductor materials, and MBE or MOCVD equipment.

Practical experience with wafer characterization techniques such as XRD, PL, Hall measurements, Ellipsometry, AFM, and SEM.

Familiarity with in-situ monitoring techniques such as RHEED, pyrometry, or band-edge measurement is an advantage.

Knowledge of safe handling procedures for chemicals, precursors, and maintenance materials.

Understanding of optoelectronic device technologies and semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Experience in statistical data analysis, FMEA, and database management.

Programming skills in Python, Delphi, or comparable programming languages are beneficial.

Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

Operate and monitor MBE production systems and associated equipment.

Support the execution and monitoring of epitaxial growth processes in a production environment.

Assist in process control activities and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Support production, R&D, and maintenance teams in daily operations.

Perform routine inspections, measurements, and documentation of process results.

Prepare and maintain process documentation and production records.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving process- and equipment-related issues.

Follow and support Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures and standards.
