Responsibilities

  • Developing ideas for, and lead projects until they become real products
  • Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs
  • Analysis and solving process issues in production area
  • Conception and construction of demanding measurement setups
  • Planning and performing experiments
  • Data analysis and simulations
  • Regular written reporting on technical results, generating project documentation, working time tracing
  • Communication with other engineers and technologists, as well as managers, on the project feasibility and execution
  • Collaboration with marketing department on customer needs, analysis of similar existing products and their functions

Requirements

  • PhD or MS in solid-state/semiconductor/laser physics/engineering, or related fields
  • 3+ year work in optical laboratory or technological facilities in industry or academia, experience in development of semiconductor optoelectronic devices or laser systems
  • Analytical skills, understanding of optical and electrical engineering principles and theories
  • Experience in working with scientific and patent literature and engineering standards
  • Knowledge of programming languages for experiment automation, science and engineering (LabVIEW, Wolfram, MatLab, Python, etc.)
  • Ability to think and work independently, but be open for collaboration, colleagues support, and for communication with customers
  • To be ready to attend in few projects simultaneously, fast adaptation and permanent studying
  • Skills in presenting results of work to colleagues, customers, as well as on scientific and industrial conferences and exhibitions
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

  • Organization and maintenance of the necessary workflow, reports and protocols based on the results of measurements or tests performed
  • Maintain laboratory facilities: This includes instrument calibration, on & off-site equipment storage
  • Work with engineering technician staff to ensure on-time analysis and reporting of test results to quality engineers
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and documents related to laboratory, safety, shipping, and analysis processes
  • Propose changes in the laboratory to provide a more efficient operation
  • Provision of measurements and tests of finished products, their constituent elements or parts at the proper technical level
  • Preparation and creation of reports and protocols based on the results of measurements or tests performed
  • Carrying out the necessary adjustment and calibration of the measuring equipment
  • Preparation of measurement objects (tests) for measurements (tests)
  • Accurate and timely execution of orders and instructions of the direct supervisor within the limits of their competence
  • Ensuring compliance with the technical requirements of the manufacturer or the owner of the equipment during the maintenance and operation of equipment and apparatus
  • Control over the maintenance of registers of accounting, storage and use of the stock of spare parts, accessories and technical documentation. Control over the maintenance of repair protocols, accounting and reporting documentation
  • Taking a part in projects connected with a new test systems build-up and software development

Requirements

  • Master’s degree electrical engineering or optoelectronics
  • 5+ Work experience in the field of electrical or optoelectronics
  • Laboratory experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Deep knowledge of international and national standards in the field of electronics and reliability (IEC…)
  • Experience within the following areas: Design of Experiment (DoE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical analysis of test and measurement results, development of test and process documentation, calibrations/MSA etc.
  • Knowledge of the of electrical engineering, semiconductor technology
  • LabView advanced at the programming level as an advantage

  • Recommend improvements to the quality systems and procedures. Lead or assist in quality improvement initiatives
  • Interface with customer/suppliers for failure incidences
  • Uphold Quality Assurance activities by ensuring both documentation conformity and data integrity
  • Assist in preparation and support during internal and external audits

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred with 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Relevant experience working in defense, medical, automotive, industrial or telco manufacturing/operations
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001

  • Performing daily/weekly checks on equipment and test runs for assurance of process capability and document in logbooks

Requirements

  • Ideally a completed apprenticeship as a microtechnologist, precision optician or comparable training.
  • Preferably with several years of professional experience in working with micro-optical components or in the semiconductor environment
  • You have experienced working under clean room conditions and have a high-quality standard for your working methods
  • You have manual dexterity and a high level of concentration
  • Basic knowledge of common MS Office applications
  • Basic knowledge of English
