Innolume at ECOC 2024
From September 23 to 25, 2024, Innolume participated in the ECOC exhibition held at Messe Frankfurt. At our company's booth, new developments were showcased, sparking significant interest among visitors. Of particular note was the progress in the development of the High-Power DFB Laser for Datacom applications. This laser delivers high performance across a wide temperature range, achieving 20% PCE (Power Conversion Efficiency) at 85°C.
Key features of the device include:
- A relative intensity noise (RIN) of less than -145 dB/Hz, ensuring operational stability.
- A side-mode suppression ratio (SMSR) exceeding 55 dB, promoting clear signal transmission.
- High reliability and resistance to back reflections, making it indispensable for high-load applications.

We also highlighted Narrow-line DFB lasers, which are particularly important for FMCW LiDAR systems and coherent communication. These lasers are characterized by an exceptionally narrow spectral line—their natural optical linewidth is less than 16 kHz (FWHM), and the total linewidth is less than 160 kHz. In addition, they deliver high optical power of 100 mW, making them ideal for high-precision applications in LiDAR and communication systems. The record performance of these devices was also presented on ECOC Conference in a talk “Narrow linewidth O-Band Quantum Dot DFB laser” by Dr. Mikhail Buyalo.

One of the main highlights of our booth was a live demonstration of Ultra Low-Noise WDM SOA, which clearly demonstrated the capabilities of our signal transmission and amplification technology. This SOA features low noise figure and the highest saturation output power available on the market. The demonstration illustrated error-free WDM optical signal amplification and transmission over a distance of more than 30 km, allowing visitors to see firsthand the high efficiency and robustness of Innolume solutions.

Moreover, a group of students from various European universities visited our booth, showing keen interest in the latest advancements in laser technology. They had the opportunity to receive detailed information about our products and technologies directly from our specialists.
Innolume employees also actively participated in the conferences held as part of the exhibition, exchanging experiences with colleagues and learning about the latest industry trends.
