Last week, Innolume GmbH was represented at a seminar hosted by the Walter Schottky Institute at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

During the seminar, Dr. Mikhail Buyalo, Product Integration Engineer at Innolume, presented recent developments in quantum-dot-based continuous-wave (CW) DFB lasers and frequency comb lasers for optical data communication applications.

The presentation covered a range of technologies, including high-power and low-noise DFB laser sources as well as multi-wavelength comb lasers designed for future optical interconnects. These developments address growing demands for higher data transmission capacity and energy-efficient communication systems.

The event brought together researchers working in semiconductor photonics, quantum cascade lasers, and mid-infrared/terahertz technologies, providing an opportunity to exchange perspectives between academic research and industrial photonics development.

We would like to thank the Walter Schottky Institute for the invitation and the participants for the valuable discussions.
