Introducing a new high-power 1260 nm amplifier

Meet our new booster semiconductor optical amplifier (BOA), designed for maximum gain at 1260 nm to meet the requirements of O-band telecom and Rydberg atom experiments. The BOA1260050YY400MXXXX delivers over 400 mW output power ex-fiber, with typical values of 20 dBm saturation output power, 35 dB gain, and a 6.5 dB noise figure.

With this product, Innolume offers exceptional reliability, spectral uniformity, and long-term stability, utilizing our GaAs quantum-dot platform and proprietary anti-reflection coating technology. The device is packaged in a 14-pin butterfly module and available with PM980 (PM1310 optional) or HI1060 fiber coupling, an optional 900 µm loose tube, and an integrated TEC with NTC thermistor for precise temperature control.

The BOA1260050YY400MXXXX can be combined with our distributed feedback lasers (DFBs) in the 1250-1270 nm range. For instance, you can use the DFB12XX000YY050MFXXX or DFB12XX000YY050MFVXX with an integrated isolator to build a complete solution covering the 1250-1270 nm wavelength range.
